Defining a Person’s Profile
Geoffrey Njolomba is a Zambian citizen with a rich background of varied experiences. He is a former secondary school teacher and holds an honorary doctor’s degree in leadership. For many years he served as school certificate (SC) and general certificate of education (GCE) examiner and team leader for the national (Zambia) examinations council in his country.
Dr. Njolomba believes that “a person’s duty in life goes far beyond the accumulation of things, wealth, academic achievements or professional accomplishments, although all these are important. This places him in a position to deal with present-day overriding matters that REALLY affect all of humanity irrespective of their status such as food, shelter, health, security, sense of identity or ‘belonging’, feelings of acceptance or rejection, matters of justice, sovereign rights, morality, reconciliation, peace, and many others. In short, life and fulfillment come only when we serve other people, and pay attention to intergenerational issues – the true profile”.
Combining his background knowledge, experience and skills obtained as a youth, in the military, education and pastoral calling, as well as cross-cultural communication and missions, he possesses unique people skills that have enabled him function with different groups of people. Not only has he worked as consultant with a local consultancy firm to resolve relational challenges between workers in some government ministry; he also has been called upon to render advice to Royal Establishments and Chiefs on land matters, especially land disputes. Others include community-based organizations (CBO’s), some eminent civil and public service leaders, as well as other groups – a true definition of a person’s “profile”.

He also co-authored a Religious Education syllabus, teachers’ and Pupils’ textbooks for senior secondary under the supervision of the national curriculum development centre in Zambia. He has written educational materials for a renowned international publishing company.
While serving as Board member of the church-based Directorate of Education in mid 1990’s he designed a two-tier curriculum system that would offer both academic and vocational courses. He enlisted the technical support of faculty from two of the country’s public universities at the time.
Once in 2014, he met three diplomats from European and North American countries and the IMF/World Bank country representative on behalf of a local royal establishment in a matter relating to land dispute between the establishment and a multi-national mining corporation.
Geoffrey Njolomba is a prolific writer and effective communicator of a variety of subjects. He has authored several books on different themes, the first to be internationally published being volume 1 of Riches in the Backyard of the “Poor”.
